Western Selects Girls – 2026 Tryout Registration

Welcome to the Western Selects Girls Hockey Tryout Registration for the 2026 Spring/Summer season. We’re excited to see your skills, dedication, and potential through video submission.

This registration is for new and prospective players born between 2008 and 2016 who are interested in joining one of the most competitive and development-focused girls’ hockey programs in North America.

Who Should Apply

  • Players not able to travel for in person tryouts must submit an Online Tryout to be considered for the 2026 Spring/Summer Tournament Season.

  • Players with high-level experience (AAA/AA or top-tier development) seeking to compete in invite-only tournaments and elite spring/summer training programs.

  • Families ready to commit to a high-performance environment, with expectations around travel, competition, and development.

Video Submission Requirements

We use video to assess individual player strengths, hockey IQ, and development potential. Please follow the guidelines below to ensure your submission can be properly reviewed:

  • Clips must be a roughly 30 seconds in length. Do not send highlight reels made of 3–5 second snippets.

  • Do not send full game files, LiveBarn links, or date references to entire games — these will not be reviewed.

  • Submit individual clips that keep the player centered and easily identifiable in the frame.

  • Each file must be under 1 GB.

  • If submitting multiple clips, label them clearly with player name, birth year, and jersey number.

Registration & Payment

  • Registration is considered complete only after payment is received.

  • Once payment is confirmed, your application will be placed in our 2026 evaluation queue and reviewed by our coaching staff and directors.

  • Follow-up communications regarding next steps, including potential in-person evaluation invitations, will be sent via email.

Our teams compete in exclusive spring and summer events that are invite-only and curated for top-tier development.

Submission Guidelines TLDR

  • Please submit individual video clips that are at least 30 seconds in length.

  • Highlight reels composed of very short (e.g., 5-second) gameplay moments will not be accepted.

  • We do not accept full game files, LiveBarn links, or date references to complete games.

  • Individual clips should focus on the player, with the athlete clearly centered in the frame whenever possible.

  • Each file must be under 1 GB in size.
